Faith Taheny
faith taheny, sugargoat’s pastry chef de cuisine, grew up loving to bake. from the moment her dad bought her first rolling pin, she realized she needed to bake – and as she and her mom churned out thousands of decorated cookies at christmas time, she knew it would become her lifelong calling. as a result, she went to pastry school – and following time at various bakeries in the suburbs of chicago, she found herself on the goat pastry team in 2016, quickly moving into a lead role. now, armed with accolades of coloring contest awards from childhood, faith is ready to bake, create and decorate everything from caramel corn cake to shortbread cookies.
Stephanie Izard
whenever you find chef stephanie izard in the kitchen, you can practically guarantee that you’ll find surprising flavors that make your whole mouth happy. she fell in love with this creative style of cooking as she observed her mom in the kitchen growing up, and knew that the calling would become a lifelong passion in culinary school. after appearing on iron chef and opening four highly-awarded chicago-based restaurants, it was only natural to extend her love of toppings and flavors into a sweet shop. that’s why every bite (or lick, if we’re talking frosting) of sugargoat will be characterized by what started it all: a little bit of crunch, and something unexpected.
